The façade of 1, rue de la Paix, in Paris, was bathed in light as soon as evening fell on October 24. It was time for a very special watchmaking anniversary…
The date October 24 is engraved forever in the history of contemporary watchmaking: exactly thirty years ago, on October 24, 1994, the prestigious Saxon watch manufacturer was reborn. The elegant silhouette of the new Lange 1 was majestically displayed over the entire height of the building overlooking the brand’s Parisian salons. Lange & Söhne had unveiled two new exclusive 38.5 mm-diameter versions, one in platinum with an onyx dial, the other in pink gold with a Prussian blue dial.
Two limited editions of 300 pieces each, complemented by two aesthetically similar series with a slightly smaller diameter of 36.8 mm. These Petite Lange 1s will be produced in quantities of 150 for each color. A big anniversary deserved a watch as tall as a building on Rue de la Paix.
