Organized by the “PSG for communities and the Linkee association, its founder Julien Meimon described the event as “an extraordinary tour de force”..
Since 2000, the PSG Foundation has been helping disadvantaged, sick or troubled children and young people. Club athletes such as Gonçalo Ramos and Griedge Mbock, footballers, and Alexis Mathieu, judoka, were involved in various events. “Our main concern with PSG communities is young people, and only young people. We’re lucky to have players, whatever their discipline, who are always very sensitive to the causes we defend.” says Fabien Allègre, Deputy Director of the Paris Saint Germain Foundation.
300,000 young people helped since its creation
At the beginning of October, the foundation revealed the 4 schemes that will be set up for the 2024/2025 season. The club’s solidarity canteen will be back in March, helping 8,000 young people – double the number since the program’s inception in 2021.
The foundation is also committed to helping young girls aged 11 to 16 living in disadvantaged areas of the Paris region, with its campaign “Allez les filles!” which aims to teach “the benefits and practice of sport”.75 girls from Poissy, Colombes and Vitry-sur-Seine will take part in these activities. This season, the club’s foundation will open a new facility at theNecker hospital to help sick children aged 7 to 11.
Throughout the year, PSG organizes 450 charity events. Since its creation in 2000, more than 300,000 children and young people have been helped by PSG. “PSG for communities. Every year, the Parisian club raises funds for its various campaigns at its Gala.
