the Academy unveils the Revelations for the next edition

The names of the 32 contenders have been announced. Among them are the successors to Ella Rumpf and Raphaël Quenard, who will be honored in 2024.

All the names have been revealed. For its evening event on February 28, which will mark the 50th anniversary of thee edition of the ceremony, the Académie des César announced on Wednesday November 13 the list of 32 female and male revelations in the running. Chaired by Catherine Deneuve and directed by Cédric Klapisch, the evening will reward the new faces of the French film panorama.

This year, the César Academy’s Revelations committee, made up of 14 casting directors, nominated a total of 32 young people: 16 actresses and 16 actors for the official Revelations 2025 selection, formerly known as the “Espoirs” until the 2024 César Awards. For the occasion, filmmaker Vanessa Filho will showcase these new faces of French cinema in a short film to be unveiled on January 20 at the Soirée des Révélations.
