After taking the field against the All Blacks in the 9th minute of play on Saturday evening, international prop George-Henri Colombe confessed to the Parisien having played with a gastro.

“I fell ill on Friday morning with a stomach bug. The staff called Uini (Atonio) to deal with any eventuality until the morning of the match.”he declared. He continued: “I had a stomachache and I knew it was going to be long and hard. It was a very important match and I didn’t want to have any regrets. So in those cases, you go out there and it’s the mental side that takes over”. Initially struggling in the scrum, he was active in attack and defense. Leaving aside his aches and pains, which returned towards the end of the match.. “I made a quick stop to see my loved ones, then headed off to the changing room to use the toilet. My body sort of called me to order at the end of the match”.
