Nyedzi Kpokpoya, former French international, dies aged 47

Nyedzi Kpokpoya, a former French national basketball team player who won 21 caps, died “accidentally” in Marseille on November 13, according to the FFBB.

The French Basketball Federation (FFBB) announced on Monday the death of Nyedzi Kpokpoya, a former member of the French national team who won 21 caps between 1994 and 1996. The ex-interior is “died accidentally on November 13”.shares the FFBB in a press release, without providing further details.

Kpokpoya, nicknamed “Kpo” and born in Saint-Brieuc (CĂ´tes-d’Armor), played for US Valenciennes Olympic, ASPTT Aix-en-Provence, Villeneuve-d’Ascq and Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, where she ended her career in 2005. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Business Law, she went on to work for a financial consultancy firm.
