Michel Polnareff80, announced on Instagram and X on Sunday November 17 the release of a new single with an evocative title, Sexcetera. Sweeping aside the many speculations about his state of health, this song will be accompanied by an unreleased album and a tour, presented by TF1 as the final project of his career. This farewell tour is scheduled for 2025.

The Admiral is always present

Michel Polnareff’s previous project, Polnareff sings PolnareffPolnareff chante Polnareff, on which he covered some of his standards in stripped-down piano versions, dates back to 2022. In the meantime, the French singer had not given himself a rest, launching the musical exhibition Polnarêves, an immersive show which he presented at the Théâtre Le Palace in Paris. He then embarked on a tour of Zeniths across France, reconnecting with his fans after a seven-year absence.

Last April saw the release of a tribute album celebrating the singer’s career. Once upon a time Polnareff. The project brought together some of the biggest names on the French music scene, includingIndochine, Laurent Voulzy, Yael Naïm or Catherine Ringercovering his signature songs. True to his sense of humour, Polnareff reacted on X by declaring: “ I’d like to reassure all those who were worried about an album entitled Once upon a time Polnareff The Admiral is still alive, just like me”. His surprise appearance in Saint-Tropez on August 13, where he gave a live performance, won over his fans.
