France’s women’s basketball team made short work of Latvia on Sunday in Riga (82-51), moving a step closer to qualifying for Euro 2025.
The French women’s basketball team have all but secured their place at Euro 2025 after another victory over Latvia in Riga on Sunday (82-51). Still top of Group E, with eight points, Les Bleues are almost certain, barring an unlikely turn of events, to take part in the competition, which takes place from June 18 to 29 in Greece, Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy.
The top finishers in each group and the four best runners-up will earn their ticket. After Latvia, Les Bleues will have two matches left to complete a qualifying period in which they are still unbeaten, and should be the big favourites for a final victory next June. They face Ireland on February 6, before finishing with a match against Israel on the 9th.
