VIDEO – Thanks to his incredible technique, this musician can play all styles of guitar. Here he is, composer and performer on a new album Cenotes de Oro that spans traditions. A beautiful musical journey.
Kevin Seddiki is an outstanding guitarist who, with his new opus, gives us the gift of his own compositions. Here we find ourselves immersed in a fresco of sound that owes some of its tonalities to the famous And I love Her by The Beatles. In eight very loose, calm tracks, this guitarist and percussionist creates a world that is both voluptuous and aesthetic. Cenotes de Oro* – literally translated: golden aquatic caves – takes us on a journey through elaborate arrangements and inspired improvisations. Hence the fresh, natural feel of this recording. Listening to her clear, airy notes, you know the album was made in the countryside. It was, and more precisely in Auvergne, mainly at the Polyphone studio.
Kevin Seddiki’s instrument of choice is the classical guitar, which he continues to practice in a wide variety of musical genres and regions. This approach has led him to play in duos with guitarist Al di Meola, violinist Sarah Nemtanu, accordionist Jean-Louis Matinier, percussionist Bijan Chemirani and the Quatuor Voce. He also composes film music with Michel LegrandArmand Amar or Anne-Sophie Versnaeyen.
A little anecdote: an algorithm error published the single from this album on the spotify pages from John Lennon and Paul McCartneywhich gave him visibility for a few days!
