Louis Boyard chats François Hollande

François Hollande is not spared by his allies in La France insoumise. The former President of the Republic, re-elected as a member of parliament after last July’s early legislative elections, regularly has to endure the taunts of Melenchonist deputies in the Hemicycle of the National Assembly. A little over a week ago, after having been singled out for not having a single vote since the beginning of the legislaturethe former head of state made a welcome return to parliament to take part in debates on the Social Security Financing Bill. “Ahhh François Hollande has finally cast his second vote!”exclaimed Insoumis leader Louis Boyard teasingly after a vote won by the New Popular Front. This mockery amused François Hollande: “Eh oui!”he smiled at her with a sympathetic wave of his arm, as if to apologize for his past absences. A self-deprecating gesture that was appreciated on the Insoumis benches.
