For his new eyewear collection, Sabato De Sarno applies the recipes that have made him such a success on the catwalk.

Something has changed at Gucci. Undeniably, Sabato De Sarno has reintroduced that touch of graphic elegance that sets the Italian house apart. As soon as he took up the coveted post of Creative Director in January 2023, the Neapolitan designer’s roadmap was clear: restore the brand’s panache by eschewing ostentation. The designer is not one to embark on purely conceptual projects. He’s a pragmatist. A man of the art, with a degree in styling and pattern-making from the Carlo Secoli Fashion Institute in Milan, he loves clothes, knows the techniques of couture and has a mastery of shapes.

His previous experience, notably with Prada, Dolce & Gabbana or ValentinoHe knows the codes of Italianness inside out.
