Union president Arnaud Rousseau is calling for actions “in all départements” to “question the public authorities” about the consequences of the Mercosur treaty for French agriculture.
Years go by and they all look the same. One year after the strong mobilizations of farmers, the FNSEA, the majority union of the profession, announces new actions this Monday, November 18.
“We’re not going to blockade France,” FNSEA president Arnaud Rousseau assured France Inter. What we want to do is question the public authorities.” The cereal grower, head of the union since spring 2023, denounces in particular the Mercosur treaty which “could have dramatic consequences for agriculture“.
