Beyoncé, Leonardo Di Caprio, Taylor Swift… The left-wing elite who failed to win Kamala Harris

DECRYPTAGE – Many celebrities thought they could push the Democratic candidate all the way to victory in the presidential election, yet they failed to win over voters in deepest America, plagued by inflation and the housing crisis.

During Kamala Harris’s three-month campaign blitz, the celebrities gave their voices for the woman they had chosen as the new President of the United States. On Instagram, Beyoncé posed in a T-shirt emblazoned with the young Democratic candidate’s face. While Bruce Springsteen appeared in a campaign spot for the vice-president. Lady Gaga, for her part, sang at the last Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania. And Jennifer Lopez revolted after the joke by a comedian who compared Puerto Rico à “a floating island of waste” at Trump’s New York rally. The list could go on and on.

Yet the showbiz stars’ choice didn’t win the election. Despite their repeated calls to vote for Kamala Harris on social networks, and their dozens of selfies, ballot in hand, Americans preferred Donald Trump. And this result raises questions. Does the support of these personalities really serve…
