The ecologist mayor of Bègles, Clément Rossignol Puech, has announced that he has lodged a complaint following further damage to a municipal school.

“An unacceptable act on a school of the Republic.” This was the reaction of Clément Rossignol Puech, the mayor of Bègles (Gironde), after the discovery of several swastikas on the walls of a public building on Thursday morning, November 7. The Bègles mayor and vice-president of the metropolis is said “outraged” and announced that he would be lodging a complaint.
“I will never let hate pass in Bègles”.
This act of vandalism comes just a few months after damage already committed in Bègles. On July 9, the mayor released photographs of “racist tags on another school in the city, with the inscriptions “à mort la racaille, “FDP Mélenchon” and the acronym Rassemblement national followed by a heart.
The town also lodged a complaint. “I will never let hate pass in Bègles”.wrote the mayor at the time on X. On the same day, a swastika was spray-painted on the Begau premises of the Communist Party.
