The Interallié jury has announced the names of the four novelists likely to receive its prize.
Four novelists are still in the running for the Prix Interallié 2024, which will be awarded on November 13.
The thriller writer Olivier Norekfor Winter Warriors (Michel Lafon), about the war between Finland and the Soviet Union in 1939-1940, was one of the surprises of the autumn literary season. It was shortlisted for the Goncourt and Renaudot prizes. It was finally awarded the Prix Giono.
Thibault de Montaigu is also in the running with Heart (Albin Michel), a fine, moving autobiographical novel revolving around the figure of her dandy father and great-grandfather, who died in a cavalry charge in 1914.
Abel Quentin is also among the finalists with his novel Cabane (L’Observatoire) looks at the fate of the authors of one of the first reports warning of the collapse of the Earth’s ecosystems.
Last but not least, Delphine MinouiDelphine Minoui, a leading Middle East reporter for Le Figaro and winner of the 2006 Albert Londres prize, has published her first novel, Badjens (Seuil) on the struggle of Iranian women.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday November 13 at Chez Lasserre restaurant in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.e arrondissement de Paris. The winner will succeed Humusby Gaspard Koenig (Editions de l’Observatoire).
The Prix Interallié jury includes Jean-Marie Rouart (chairman), Stéphane Denis, Gilles Martin-Chauffier, Eric Neuhoff, Christophe Ono-dit-Biot, Jean-Christophe Rufin, Jean-René Van der Plaesten and Florian Zeller.
