Marc Ferracci predicts a “commercial and economic balance of power” with Donald Trump

Marc Ferracci, France’s Minister of Industry, said that Europe needed to move away from a “form of naiveté” towards the United States, on Thursday during a visit to Colmar (Haut-Rhin).

Minister Delegate for Industry Marc Ferracci warned on Thursday that Europe must prepare to establish “a balance of commercial and economic power” with the future administration of Donald Trump, just re-elected President of the United States. The Donald Trump’s return to the White House for a second term is likely to be marked by protectionism. During his campaign, he promised a 10-20% increase in tariffs on products imported into the United States.
