Les Brestois can make history

Having got off to a flying start in their first Champions League, Les Brestois can already qualify for the play-offs with a win at Sparta on Wednesday. Against the Czechs, the step is far from inaccessible.

European euphoria far from over for Stade Brestois. At least, that’s what they’re hoping for. They face Sparta Prague on Wednesday (9pm) in the fourth round of the Champions League, “the Pirates” could go down in history. Already well under wayWith a win at the Letna stadium, Brest would be virtually guaranteed a place in the Champions League play-offs, if not better.

Arsenal line-up: Ben White back in the starting XI, Odegaard on the bench

The Norwegian maestro is finally back in Mikel Arteta’s squad after more than a month’s absence. Not yet physically ready, the Gunners’ captain could have a big impact on the match against the Italian champions in the second half.

Inter line-up: Thuram on the bench, Pavard on the bridge

Inter are in a good position at the start of the Champions League, and currently occupy 8th place, the last qualifying position for the Round of 16, just ahead of tonight’s opponents Arsenal.

Simone Inzaghi rotated his squad a little, deciding to bench Marcus Thuram (scorer of 7 league goals) and field a defensive trio of Bisseck-De Vries-Pavard.

Stade Brestois’ line-up: Baldé up front with Ajorque

Eric Roy made a number of changes to his side’s starting eleven from previous matches. Stade Brestois switched to a 4-4-2 formation, with Mama Baldé starting alongside Ludovic Ajorque in attack.

Kamory Doumbia also featured alongside Camara, Fernandes and Lees-Melou in midfield. Abdallah Sima, who scored in the first two games, is absent and recovering from injury for this match.
