Quincy Jones’ last touching message to one of his daughters

The composer and producer wished his daughter Martina Jones a happy birthday in an Instagram post shared just hours before her passing.

Quincy Jones passed away on Sunday November 3 at the age of 91, surrounded by his family at his home in Beverly Hills. But a few hours before his death, the famous American composer and producer made sure he didn’t forget his loved ones.

The artist wrote a touching last message to his daughter Martina, who celebrated her 58th birthday last weekend. ” Happy birthday to my Tina Beena. I’m so proud to be your dad. I give you a big hug. I love you forever “, he wrote in an Instagram post shared on Sunday. The message is accompanied by a snapshot of father and daughter. Over the course of his life, the artist has married three times and had seven children by five different partners. Martina was born of his union with Ulla Jones, his second wife, with whom he remained for seven years, until 1974. Together they also had a son, Quincy Jones III.

Prior to this union, Quincy Jones had married Jeri Caldwell in 1957, with whom he had his first daughter. But the artist is also the father of Rachel Jones from his brief affair with Carol Reynolds, Kidada Jones and Rashida Jones from his marriage to Peggy Lipton, and Kenya Kinski-Jones from his affair with Nastassja Kinski.
