With more than 120,000 voters, the Watch of the Year evening organized by watchmaking youtuber Frank sans C rewarded the eleven timepieces preferred by Internet users.
For the third edition of La Montre de l’Année 2024 competition, organized by journalist and youtuber Frank sans C, 121447 voters decided between the 114 watches nominated in 11 categories, pre-selected by a jury of journalists. Watch the event online on YouTube.
As in the two previous editions, this prize gave the floor to the general public, to watch enthusiasts, and divided the watches to be crowned not by type of piece, as does the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de la ville de Genève, but by price level. A simple and rational way of comparing truly comparable watches. A welcome new category was added this year: connected watches. The Women’s All Categories prize went to the Chanel MJ12 Couture 33 mm. For men, the award went to the Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT.

A prize for Personality of the Year 2024 was also awarded during this watchmaking evening in the heart of Paris, at the Automobile Club de France on Place de la Concorde. Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, was presented with the award by a living legend of contemporary watchmaking: Richard Mille. Finally, a Prix Spécial 2024 was awarded to Omega, for its achievements as Official Timekeeper of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
