The Lyon club announced on Monday that its player would shortly be undergoing shoulder surgery.
Lyon’s Irish international hooker Paddy Jackson will undergo surgery on his shoulder in the near future and is expected to be out of action for six to eight months, according to his club, LOU Rugby.
The player, joined the Lyon team in 2023 who has extended his contract until 2026, has been suffering from a ruptured cuff for several weeks.
Jackson (32), who won 25 caps for the Shamrock XV between 2013 and 2017, has played just 37 minutes this season.
He played 25 matches (178 points) during the 2023-2024 season.
