DECRYPTAGE – The number of automotive plants in France has not fallen in recent years. But for how much longer?

Today, there are three plastic injection presses in the huge building at the Stellantis plant at La Janaisnear Rennes. They will soon be joined by three others. All six machines come from one of the Group’s Italian plants. The first bumper components for the successor to the the Citroën C5 Aircrosscodenamed CR3 at Stellantis, are already starting to be manufactured. “Our Italian colleagues had mastered this technology, we hadn’t. We took advantage of this new model to learn, recover unused machines in Italy and internalize this part of the vehicle.”explains Jacques Bliard, CR3 industrialization manager.
