HUMOR – After a disappointing and boring year in 2024, symbolized by the 0-0 draw with Israel on Thursday, the French team has a dream opportunity to close the calendar year in style against Italy this Sunday evening.
From the 16,000 at the Stade de France to the 68,000 spectators at the San Sirothe great discrepancy is a pleasure to watch. Like some of the brave souls present in Saint-Denis on Thursday evening, we left Les Bleus with a bitter taste of disappointment, frustration and even anger. the pathetic performance against Israel (0-0)They’ll be back in Milan on Sunday, in the fabulous setting of the San Siro. Two venues, two atmospheres and, we hope, a completely different France team.
To round off a gloomy 2024, marked by a semi-final at the Euro without ever having thrilled the French public with a game that was boring as hell, the public expects Les Bleus to be conquerors, incisive and far more involved than in the Saint-Denis stalemate. And if Deschamps’ men, who only have two world champions (Kanté and Pavard) left in their squad, could give a little pleasure, it wouldn’t be too much to ask. It’s not a bad idea to leave one last good impression before turning the corner…
