FC Barcelona are already looking ahead to the summer mercato and dreaming of securing the services of Napoli’s Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Italian media reveal.
According to Italian media outlet La Repubblica, Barcelona are already positioning themselves to recruit Khvicha Kvaratskhelia next summer. The Napoli star still has two years left on his contract with the club, but is reportedly keen to move elsewhere, and Napoli could sell for around 80 million euros.
While Yamal and Raphinha are a joy for Hansi Flick, an injury or setback can happen so quickly that an additional winger would be a welcome addition. The 23-year-old Georgian is (already) in his third season with Napoli, with whom he won the Italian league title in the 2022-2023 season.
Blocked at Napoli last summer, due to a high price tag
Last summer’s asking price of 130 million euros put off many a bidder, including Paris Saint Germain. According to La Repubblica, such a transfer could be negotiated for around 80 million euros, due to the fact that the player’s contract runs until 2027, which logically reduces his price over time.
