The tenors of the first Trump administration won’t be part of the next US administration despite rumors already allocating the Pentagon to ex-CIA director Mike Pompeo.
Contrary to reports circulating since his re-election as President of the United StatesDonald Trump will not be calling on his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, or the US ambassador to the UN under his tenure Nikki Haley.
“I wouldn’t invite former Ambassador Nikka Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump administration, being formed“, he wrote on his Truth Social network.
“I have enjoyed working with them in the past and would like to thank them for their service to our country.“, added the Republican billionaire, matching his message with his slogan “Make America Great Again“.
Trump and Pompeo, two different visions
Mike Pompeo, ex-director of the CIA, was tipped to become head of the Pentagon. This “hawkThe “hawk” from the right wing of the Republican party quickly won the confidence of a president inexperienced on the international stage, while taking care not to overshadow him.
